I don’t know how some people become fixated with one notion, that America is the cause of civil wars in Africa. They are already saying America is the one fuelling the civil war in Sudan. What will America stand to benefit from an unstable Sudan? What is there to gain from deaths and humanitarian crisis that is happening in Sudan? Does it make sense? The two generals causing the war before our eyes are no longer the actors responsible for the war? How?The American policy in Sudan is clear as stated below.”We engage diplomatically with African, regional, and international leaders and institutions to reduce or end conflicts in African countries such as Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, Mozambique, Cameroon, and Mali, because violence in these places steals the future of Africans.”Also U.S. is the largest single donor to Sudan. America provided more than $5 billion in aid to the Sudan and Eastern Chad since 2005. The U.S. funds more than 80% of the World Food Program’s food aid in Sudan and Eastern Chad, reaching approximately 6.5 million people throughout the region. If America has anything against Sudan it does not hide it. In August 1998 America bombed Sudan for harbouring terrorists and branded it as state sponsoring terrorism. When Sudan changed America opened an embassy in Sudan and continued to assist it.
