Justice Adamu Jauro of Supreme Court, in dismissing the case of PDP and Labour party against Tinubu and Shettima, said “from the trial court down to this court, it has been a waste of precious judicial time.”He admonished Atiku and Obi’s lawyers to advise their clients “against filing this sort of suit in the future.”But Atiku and Obi said they would continue their legal battles in other suits to unseat Tinubu from office.What the duo of Atiku and Peter Obi,in their desperation to be presidents didn’t know, is that the Nigerian law favours a person becoming a president through election,(no matter how flawed),than a person becoming president through legal process. While it is possible for a person to become governor through legal action,it is a different ball game in becoming president of Nigeria. To become NIGERIAN president, you have to contest election,get majority votes with even spread around the country and be declared winner by INEC. No court will make a person president by judicial announcement. It is even baffling that both the person that came second(Atiku) and the person that came third(Peter Obi) are claiming victory and asking to be sworn in as presidents.
