Happy 83rd Birthday to the ever so great Al Pacino 🎂🎊❤️✨Al Pacino is an actor and filmmaker, widely considered as one of the greatest actors of all time. He was born in New York City on April 25, 1940. His parents were Italian immigrants who lived in a small apartment in the Bronx.Pacino started his career on stage, appearing in several off-Broadway productions. In 1969, he starred in the play “Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie?”, which earned him a Tony Award. That same year, he made his film debut in the movie “Me, Natalie”.Pacino’s breakthrough role came in 1972 when he played Michael Corleone in “The Godfather”. KDSG Security Update: Thursday 13th April 2023.Troops intercept large quantity of ammunition in Birnin Gwari LGA.Rounds were being supplied to bandits.Courier in custody for investigationIn another significant breakthrough, troops of Operation Forest Sanity have intercepted a large quantity of ammunition being conveyed to bandits by a courier around Polewire in Birnin Gwari LGA.According to a report forwarded to the Kaduna State Government, the troops followed up on credible intelligence around gunrunning activities, and in the course of diligent checks stopped a suspicious-looking vehicle within the location of interest.A search of the intercepted vehicle – a black Toyota Corolla – revealed more than 2,000 rounds of various grades of ammunition, concealed in different parts of the car.After a thorough search of the vehicle, the following precise quantities were recovered:1,079 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition886 rounds of 7.62mm belted ammunition139 rounds of 7.62mm tracer ammunitionFive empty AK-47 magazines were also recovered.The driver of the vehicle, one Aminu Abdullahi, is in custody for further investigation.Governor Nasir El-Rufai noted the report with satisfaction, and thanked the troops for their proactiveness in denying bandits a major supply of ammunition meant to mete out more destruction and suffering.The Governor warmly appreciated the leadership of the General Officer Commanding, One Division, Major General T.A. LATE BRIGADIER GENERAL TEXAS CHUKWU RETIRED LAID TO REST IN ABUJAThe remains of late Brigadier General Jude Texas Ezeh Chukwu retired, former Director Army Public Relations (DAPR) has been laid to rest at Guards Brigade Cemetery Lungi, Abuja. The retired late senior officer passed away on Thursday 5, January 2023 at his residence in Abuja.The body of Brigadier General Texas Chukwu arrived at St Joseph Catholic Church, Mambila Barracks, where a funeral service was held in his honour before it was conveyed to the Guards Brigade Cemetery at Lungi for final interment.During a funeral oration read by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, who was represented by Brigadier General Agada Ameh, Brigadier General Texas was described as a brilliant, diligent resourceful, and meticulous senior officer, who had an unblemished record throughout his career in the Army. He eulogized the late senior officer for his forthrightness, remarkable and overwhelming moral standard which helped to inspire young officers. He prayed that God Almighty grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.Brigadier General Texas Jude Chukwu rose through the ranks and became the Director Army Public Relations from 26 February – 3 December 2018. He was later appointed a Resource Fellow at the Army Resource Center, Abuja. Before then, he was one time Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Lagos among several other appointments.Late Brigadier General Texas was born on 24 December 1966 in Makurdi. He hails from Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. He attended Saint Vincent Secondary School Agbogugu, where he obtained his General Certificate of Education at the Ordinary Level. Thereafter, he gained admission into Plateau State School of Accounting and Management Studies where he obtained his Ordinary National Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations as well as a National Diploma in Mass Communication respectively. He was granted commission into the Nigerian Army as a member of Direct Regular Commission Course 4 on 2 July 1993.The late senior officer attended several courses including Basic Range Management Course, Mortar Platoon Commander’s Course, Young Officers Course Infantry, Airborne Basic Course, Advance Range Management Course, Junior and Senior Staff Course in Jaji as well as Senior Executive Course at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, Jos.In recognition of his meritorious and unblemished services to the nation, late Brigadier General Texas Chukwu was honoured with several awards and medals, including the Forces Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Distinguished Service Star, Member of the National Institute, United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone Medal and Corps Medal of Honour.In attendance during the burial ceremony was the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya represented by Brigadier General Agada Ameh, the Director of Army Public Relations Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, retired and serving senior officers from Army, Naval and Defence Headquarters. A convicted murderer and rapist who escaped from jail in South Africa last year has appeared in court for the first time since his re-arrest earlier this month. Thabo Bester, the so-called “Facebook rapist” who used the social media site to lure his victims, says it is not safe for him to eat prison food because he fears being poisoned. Instead, he wants his lawyers to provide him his meals, and he has refused to eat for the past 48 hours. Bester’s case has now been postponed until next month.

AGAIN TROOPS OF OPERATION FOREST SANITY AMBUSH AND NEUTRALIZE 2 BANDITS IN KADUNA STATEFollowing a tip off from human intelligence source, troops of operation Forest Sanity under 1 Division Nigerian Army has again ambushed and successful neutralised 2 bandits leaders capturing arms, ammunition and othe equipments. Earlier, intelligence source revealed that a bandit leader named Isiya Danwasa intended to send his errand boy Yunusa to purchase some arms and ammunition in Kaduna town.Subsequently, the errand boy was trailed and picked up by plain cloth soldiers and later used to lure two of the bandits leaders to a selected ammunition collection point. Upon their arrival, troops who had laid an ambush engaged the criminals with superior firepower and neutralised the two bandits leaders..Items recovered from the criminal elements include one motorcycle(destroyed institu), two AK 47 rifles, six AK 47 magazines, quantity two hundred and fifty rounds of 7.62 mm special, one power bank, two charm vest and the sum of two hundred thousand naira.The General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Force Commander Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Punch Major General Taoreed Lagbaja has commended the troops for their professional conduct and perfect execution of task. He further charged the troops to go after all bandits and show them no mercy.
